Pro Cleaning Hacks For Your Oven

By LocalXR

When it comes to cleaning the kitchen, the oven is one of the most difficult appliances.

Here are three pro hacks to help you get through your next oven-cleaning session.

“Remember, some ovens have an inbuilt self-cleaning feature. If your oven has the feature, turn on self-cleaning for a better and easier cleaning process.”

It uses about 8kW of energy. It’s a smoky process, so make sure you keep your windows and doors open and keep the air circulating.

Clean your oven glass

  • Take a long, thin plastic or metal rod — like a straightened hanger — and attach a piece of clean cloth or tissue to one end.
  • Then dab the cloth with cleaning liquid and insert that end through the slot between the door and the glass.
  • Wipe away dust and grime.
  • It’s an easy and effective method and lets you monitor your baking process through the glass.

Remove unpleasant odors

  • If you bake quite often, you would know the problems of unpleasant odors all too well.
  • Add a few drops of vanilla extract in a baking dish, put it in, and turn on your oven.
  • Let the scent of fresh vanilla fill your kitchen and you’ll get rid of all unpleasant smells in your oven.

Remove grease and dirt

  • Combine baking soda, white vinegar, and liquid soap with water to form a paint-like paste.
  • Remove all the racks and trays from your oven and, with a brush, coat the entire interior of your oven with the paste.
  • Close the oven and let it sit overnight.
  • In the morning, use a sponge and water to wipe away all the grease and you’ll have a sparkling oven.
